The George Mason University, Office of the Provost, Center for International Student Access (CISA) invites applications for a part-time (up to 20 hours/week), hourly wage Office Assistant position at the Fairfax campus. The position will begin immediately and last through the summer (June-July).
We seek a friendly, detail-oriented individual to serve as an Office Assistant, at least four days per week from 12:30-4:30PM. This individual will providing high-quality office support and customer service particularly for our first year international and immigrant students at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
This position’s responsibilities also include, but is not limited to:
- Answering phone calls;
- Directing walk-ins to the correct location;
- Photocopying, faxing, filing, and mailing documents;
- Tracking and marking applications and admissions materials;
- Updating program files and databases;
- Scheduling appointments by request;
- Reading and outlining articles & materials;
- Special projects as assigned.
Applicants must have a high grade point average (3.0+), demonstrate excellent English proficiency in both oral and written communication (TOEFL minimum: 95), and strong interpersonal skills necessary for interacting with visitors.
